Everyday Spirituality – A Heartfelt Reflection from a Man Asking Crazy Questions

It is an Everyday Spirituality — I was praying this morning — just sitting there quietly with God — and a thought came rushing through my heart:
Why is it that people only seem to get spiritual on Sundays?
Why is it that our statuses, our posts, our playlists suddenly become “holy” only on Sundays?
Why is it that Sunday morning starts with worship songs, but by Monday morning, it’s back to jaga jaga — to circular songs, to empty noise, to the same old chaos?
Why do we dress up in our finest clothes, iron our best shirts, polish our shoes, and put on our brightest smiles for Sunday service… only to go back to the same old grind when Monday comes?
Why is it that Sundays are the only days God seems to trend?
Why is our faith kept behind a Sunday password — a beautiful treasure locked away until it’s time for another service, another sermon?
Please hear me:
I’m not judging.
I’m not condemning.
I’m not standing on a hill shouting at others.
I’m right here, asking crazy questions — praying crazy prayers — dreaming crazy dreams.
Dreaming of a world where everyday spirituality is normal.
Where people wake up every morning — not just Sunday morning — and jump out of bed, breathless with gratitude, whispering,
“Thank You, Jesus, I’m alive today.”
I crave a world where Monday mornings are baptized with worship just like Sunday mornings are.
Where Tuesday nights are not swallowed by Netflix and scrolling through the media, but soaked in stillness before God.
Where Wednesday afternoons, even in noisy offices and marketplaces, someone pauses — right there — to say,
“God, You are still good.”
I dream of a Thursday where it’s normal to see a man in traffic, eyes closed at a red light, just thanking God for helping him survive the week so far.
Of a Friday night where youth gather to seek His face, not just seek entertainment.
Of Saturdays where families don’t just prepare clothes for church but prepare hearts for God.
Because God didn’t call us to a weekend walk.
He called us to a daily wonder walk.
Daily awe.
Daily intimacy.
But somehow… somewhere…
We made God a Sunday event.
We made gratitude a Sunday checklist.
We made His presence something we schedule, something we clock into for a few hours, then clock out to return to “normal life.”
We forgot that there is no real life outside of Him.
Where is the hunger that wakes us up before alarms?
Where is the childlike joy that doesn’t need a worship leader to tell us to lift our hands?
Where is the gratitude that doesn’t need an Instagram post or a Facebook reminder?
Why has it become strange to pray before eating unless it’s Sunday lunch?
Why has it become strange to say, “I love You, Lord,” randomly while washing dishes, watching TV, or driving to work?
Why have we hidden our faith behind the curtain of “professionalism” during the week but parade it on Sundays like a badge of honor?
Where did we lose the wonder?
I want to live in a world where…
• Worship is as normal as breathing.
• Prayer is as casual as laughter.
• Gratitude is louder than complaints.
• Joy overflows even on hard days.
• God is not a weekend guest, but the center of every moment.
I dream of raising children who don’t know the difference between Sunday and Monday in their love for God.
Children who will run barefoot into the presence of God without waiting for a “service time.”
Children whose first thought when they wake up isn’t “where’s my phone?” but “where is my God?”
Maybe I’m crazy.
Maybe I’m naïve.
Maybe it’s too much to ask.
Maybe it’s childish to believe that every day can carry the fragrance of God’s presence.
But I would rather be a fool who believes faith beyond Sunday is possible…
Than be wise in a world that only remembers God when it’s convenient.
No judgment.
Just a barefoot man with dust on his feet and fire in his bones.
Just a voice asking:
“Can we love God every day, not just on Sunday?”
Because the truth is:
He’s worthy every day.
He’s good every day.
He’s waiting every day.
He’s speaking every day.
He’s near every day.
Not just when the microphone is loud and the lights are bright.
Not just when the choir sings and the pastor preaches.
But even on a tired Wednesday night.
Even in a boring Tuesday meeting.
Even in a traffic jam on Friday.
Even when life feels heavy on Monday.
He is Emmanuel — God with us —
Always and Forever.

About the Author
I am (TheBook) — a vessel of whispers, writing from the sacred space between silence and soul. My words are prayers in disguise, meant to heal, awaken, and remind you that even in stillness, you are deeply seen. If my whispers find your spirit — then we were meant to meet.
I love this so much. It’s such a powerful reminder that our relationship with God shouldn’t be limited to just Sundays. I really admire your heart to raise a generation that seeks God first — barefoot and broken if need be — every single day. I’m honestly looking forward to more of this weekly everyday spirituality series.
Please keep sharing, I love these raw truths!
One Love
